I ate here last week with a friend & we loved it! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is really neat, since it’s located right on The Broadwalk. I got a Philly cheesesteak which was really good, and I wasn’t charged for my side of ranches or my pop either which was a plus. Would definitely reccomend this place when you’re eating on The Broadwalk! It’s a little father down when you’re heading south, past the more “hype” part of The Broadwalk.
When I walked by I heard these ladies singing during at the end of the bar. They reeled me in with their personalities. I loved how they had the doors open and are located right on the boardwalk ocean view, great breeze and atmosphere!! What is crazy is it cost $26 for a shot of casamigos when a fifth cost $50 must be the tourist part because other places on the boardwalk was saying over$20 too. Thankfully the bartender told me this when I ordered and not surprise me with the tab. I had the best time here on my little getaway vacation.

We (my husband, goddaughter and my self) were walking the Boardwalk looking for some place to eat. We decided to try Bonny & Read's. We made a great choice! I had the Fish & Chips, they both had Philly Cheese Steaks. We all enjoyed our food and service very much and will be back again!
Great food. Immediately greeted by a very nice gentleman at the bar. We sat outside, wish we could have heard their music rather than next door. Please don't be in a hurry for your food. It is a small place, be patient... it is worth the little wait.
Spent my Easter early dinner with a 'Life Friend' here yesterday. Extraordinarily delicious food !!! Bar-b-que ribs so tender they fall off the bone, seared tuna, steamed clams w garlic butter and Oysters prepared the absolute 'Best' i have ever eaten ... cooked lightly with cheese and herbs .. a true delight. Lynn was our server, truly gracious and fun loving ... making the entire experience pure fun !!!
Delicious Philly served right on the beach. The meat was well seasoned and they were having $5 special on margaritas. The margarita was strong but tasted good. The atmosphere was clean and the server was friendly. She did sit down at the table next to us and socialized with the host or owner which seemed a little inappropriate but it was a weekday and didn't affect our service. The prices were very affordable compared to all the other restaurants we tried over our four day vacation.
My wife and I rented the Airbnb above the restaurant so we had to try it. The whole staff was very friendly, and very attentive to our needs. The food was good, not great but you can't beat the location or the view. We visited several times for drinks since it's so close. My wife had the sliders and I had the French dip. I am a French dip snob so it's hard to crack the top 5 which this one did not. Would I order it again, probably. I tasted her sliders and they were good. Nice place to chill, have a few drinks and relax.

This place is inspired by the famous pirate duo Anne Bonny and Mary Read. I am a big fan of John Taffer's Bar Rescue and this was feature on one episode, so we had to give it a try.
